What is GloFox?
GloFox is the software that Apex Fencing Academy uses to manage registration. It can be accessed through our website or by downloading the GloFox app.
How do I register my child for a class?
Once you have created a GloFox account, you can add as many family members to your account as you wish. Once the family members are added, you ca register them to the class of your choosing.
What is épée?
Épée is a thrusting weapon where the entire body is a valid target. Points are scored only with the tip of the blade. There’s no concept of “right of way,” so whoever hits first scores (simultaneous hits can count for both). It’s often considered the most straightforward and defensive weapon.
What is sabre?
A cutting and thrusting weapon where the target area is everything above the waist (torso, arms, and head). Points can be scored with both the edge and the tip. Sabre has “right of way” rules, meaning the fencer who initiates the attack usually has priority in scoring. It’s known for being the fastest-paced and most aggressive of the three weapons.
